Online resources can be any interesting online articles or web sites, such as news sites, magazine sites, blogs etc... that have information relevant to your course. You can add links to these sites directly to your course website so students can easily access them. To add a link to a useful website first open your course site via CourseDirector. Click the "Edit sidebar" link that appears at the bottom of the site navigation column which should be on the left hand side of your screen. Once you click this link a screen similar to the one below should appear. Click the "edit" button on the third navigation row as indicated by the arrow. After selecting edit click the "Add Url" link at the bottom right of the next screen. You should then see a pop up screen as shown below. In the box headed "Text to display:" enter the title/name of the article or web page. This will appear on your course site. Then in the next box enter the web address of where the article or website is located. Once done click ok, then "Ok" again on the next page and then "Save". If you now go back to your course site you will now see that your new link appears under the section heading "Onliine Resources" students can now access this resource by clicking the link. |
